Shame i can't brag
about her
as much as i'd like
around the office
without catching scornful eyes
every débutante.
Being reprimanded
as an annoyance,
accused sexual harassment.

Even my partnahs
think i'm loco &
need serious help.
You know--
kind you lay
on a psychiatrists couch
at 80 bucks per- hour
confessing all your
sinful inclinations.

No one understands
finally been forgiven
my infidelities;
fornicating outside the genre
with sudden fiction.
Promised her a new oath
of matrimony,
even tattooed her name
against my inner spirit.

& must breath her
in syllables of whispers
if i am
to keep our
something safe.
Daydream intercourse--
smooch of pen to paper
gluttonously consummated
this worshiped secret.

Daydreams and fantasies are wonderful aren't they? Unless we're really perversed, they rarely go wrong and there's nothing impeding them or to get in their way, unlike our walk with reality.
